Preliminary Task: College Contents Page FINAL

This is my contents page for my college magazine. Its not as bright and colourful and my front cover but I wanted to tone it down for the contents page. I still have splashes or colour on the page such as red and yellow.
I located my images separate from each other and put a border around them to add emphasis. I enjoyed creating this contents page. I think that I did well considering I haven't used photoshop really in the past. It was hard to get to grips with some of the photoshop tools and I was a bit nervous to use tools that weren't basic ones.

Preliminary Task: Front Cover FINAL

This is my final college front cover. I took aspects from my original sketches and Incorporated them into my final design.

I have used lots of different contrasting colours. I used a sans serif font on all of my text.

I created a unique Masthead. The character positioning is centered and text is layered over it. The costume is comfy and casual and fits into everyday college life. The colour scheme is yellow and blue but lots of other colours were also used. I have cover lines positioned to the right and to the left of the photograph. I created all aspects on the front cover myself except for the bar code which I took from the Internet.

These are my four front cover ideas for my college magazine. I have annotate around the edges of my design. I found it quite difficult coming up with different slogans and colours that worked but was still realevant to the Sixth Form College.
